This version of Director 4.0 for Windows contains an installer to copy the Director files to your hard drive. If you wish to run this installer, follow these steps:
1. From within Program Manager, choose the File menu.
2. From within the File menu, choose Run.
3. At the dialog box, enter the letter of your CD-ROM drive followed
by SETUP.EXE
For example, if your CD-ROM drive is D:, type D:\SETUP.EXE in the File, Run dialog box.
Also included on this CD is an uncompressed version of Director. If you wish, you may copy the files directly to your hard drive without using the installer. You cannot run Director 4.0 directly off the CD. It must be registered with the serial number found on your registration card.
Late breaking information, tips and tricks can be found in the README.WRI file found in the same subdirectory where you install Director 4.0 for Windows. A copy of this README.WRI file is found on this CD in the \DIRECTOR subdirectory.
Note that this is a Save Disabled evaluation version of Director for Windows. Consequently, the Save, Save As and Export options cannot be used with this version.
